Sunroof is a cloud-based home energy management app and platform (HEMS). It works by connecting to all your energy devices (solar inverter, EV and charger, heat pump and AC, smart appliances and smart plugs) through a single app across vendors. No energy manager hardware is needed, as the software runs in the cloud and uses the devices’ cloud APIs directly.
Once devices are connected, the system allows you to:
Automatically optimize energy costs with Autopilot in “Smart” and “Solar modes leveraging a combination of solar excess and variable electricity prices.
Track energy consumption of all connected devices and meters, energy production from solar, and battery charge/discharge.
Manually steer and control devices across vendors from a single app.
