I’m delighted that, for the second time, our initiative has brought together such a large group of respected experts and together we can take part in the search for the best ideas for sustainable architecture. New technologies give house designers more freedom to act. That’s why I encourage the contestants to be creative and bold in their use of good energy to shorten the path to energy neutrality,

says Lech Kaniuk, CEO of SunRoof, who is part of the contest jury.

Ambassador of Sweden to Poland, Stefan Gullgren, accepted the invitation to join the jury. The Swedish Embassy also took over the honorary patronage of the competition. As the roots of SunRoof are in Sweden, and Scandinavia supports the green transformation in Poland, such an international project helps to more effectively carry out actions for the climate.

SunRoof solar panels show how cutting-edge technology and innovative design can be combined in one smart sustainable solution. The SunRoof technology, created in Sweden and refined in Poland, offers a way to turn your home into a small green power house, and make a contribution in the fight against climate change. It is a pleasure for the Embassy of Sweden to be associated with this project, and I look forward to learning more about the exciting ideas which will be presented as a result of this competition,

– says Stefan Gullgren, Ambassador of Sweden to Poland.

The jury also includes Michał Derc, a representative of BIMobject, the owner of the largest platform with parametric BIM objects. He graduated in architecture from the Poznań University of Technology and the University of Stuttgart. In his professional work, he has dealt, for example, with the development of concepts and designs of both public and residential buildings.

Innovation comes from change, so the architecture of the future should be guided by change. We can start the revolution by creating more ecological designs using digital replicas of products that have information embedded in them, such as their environmental impact. That’s why BIMobject is contributing to this revolution with BIM objects to support architects and inspire them to design in a faster, smarter and more sustainable way,

says Michał Derc, Team Manager at BIMobject.

The projects of architecture professionals and students will also be assessed by Daniel Cieślik, founder of ANTA ARCHITEKCI studio. He graduated from the Faculty of Architecture at the Krakow University of Technology (2001). In the same year, he obtained the international diploma of the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA). He is a winner of many industry awards.

In view of the changes that are taking place in the environment, every action, even the smallest gesture aimed at its protection, is worth the greatest respect. Unfortunately, decisions to use renewable energy sources are often made at the stage of the finished building. They are secondary to the architecture. They often spoil the aesthetics or ergonomics of the building and its surroundings. They also don’t allow for full use of the potential of the technology itself. Therefore, aware of these challenges, we want to support initiatives that ensure that pro-ecological solutions become an integral part of architecture right at the design stage,

says Daniel Cieślik, founder of ANTA ARCHITEKCI.

One of the jury members is Bartłomiej Gierszyn, Head of Marketing at Grenton. An enthusiast of new technologies, he is responsible for the creation and development of Grenton’s strategy towards becoming a leading global provider of smart home systems that will be used by competition participants in the home and carport projects of the future.

She was awarded the title ‘Preventor of the Year’ (2018).

Agnieszka Zielińska, Managing Director at the Scandinavian-Polish Chamber of Commerce, will also be a member of the jury. She has over 15 years of vast experience in the international business environment in many areas: business relations, marketing, event management, and has been involved in the development of Scandinavian-Polish cooperation for over 10 years.

Natalia Chylińska, representing Builder Poland, is also among the jury members. In her professional work, she focusses, for example, on the Architecture & Design section. She devotes her attention mainly to prestigious investments, presented as part of the issues of Builder Library – Builder Exclusive. She loves photography.

Jacek Jakubowski from HouseCollection will also take part in the jury deliberations. For over 10 years, he has been a co-author of design documentation, including single- and multi-family buildings. He also specialises in designing telecommunication installations and BMS (building automation). He is passionate about modern, energy-efficient solutions for minimalist architecture.
